Quality Currency
I have many motivational speeches that I have developed over the years. Here is my latest one and it is based on the Law of Attraction and how when we connect to feeling abundant from within, then physical abundance comes flying into our lives also. Happiness now is abundance.
Imagine if we as human beings had a currency value…
How would we trade in this?
Would we have personal bank notes?
Would this currency ever run out?
I have developed a system called Quality Currency and it is all about talking about, playing with and trading with our value. And this kind of currency knows no end and so can never run out.
Basically we are all unique and have unique qualities. No two people are the same or ever can be. We are special simply because we exist. The more we realise our true value the better for our relationships both in and out of work.
Quality Currency is about identifying our innate qualities and playing with them to make them grow. This is done on a personal level and also with others thus raising awareness of what is good about us and making more of it.
The result is that it cheers us up, uplifts us and makes us realise our greatness quickly and in a fun and simple way. This has a massive turn-around effect on low self esteem, depression and feelings of inadequacy.
A little while ago I was in a café with a friend and I asked him, ‘what is it that makes you valuable? What are your values that give you that?’ He was stumped and unable to answer. I was surprised because he is a personal development coach and so I thought he may be well versed in that kind of thing.
Last year I went through a challenging time in my life and decided to take a sabbatical life change and went to stay with my mother for 6 months in Chile for a change of scenery. Every day that went by she reminded me of my qualities. She’d say, ‘I love the way you are so inspiring to others. People always have a good word to say about you and speak of you
with a lot of love.’ Or she’d say, ‘You have always been so very creative. You always find a solution to things with optimism and nothing is impossible for you.’ And so on it went. These comments would make me really stop and think. Oh gosh, really? Do you really see me like that? And she’d say, ‘of course! That is what you are! Despite not
being very well at the moment it does not stop your inner qualities shining through.’
Well this had such a massive impact on me because it was a big part of my recovery. I then pondered about it for a long time, asking myself what exactly had made it so effective. What was the mechanism that was changing my belief system and thus changing my state of mind?
The answer is simple. When we are reminded of what we really are – of our truth, then we are able to become that once again. And what we really are is our qualities.
It works like this. The soul is full of qualities. It is like a magical jewellery box that contains many different gem stones and sparkling jewels of different colours, sparkle and sizes. Each of these jewels represents a quality. For example some qualities are; joy, compassion, creativity, patience, resilience, curiosity, acceptance, excitement, spontaneity and so
on. There are many more and they are listed at the back of this book as a valuable resource and reference.
Qualities are the currency of the being. They are what gives you value. This is the stuff people will employ you for – for your qualities. For example it’s often not what you can do in as much as anyone could learn to do pretty much anything. As the saying goes, ‘It aint what you do it’s the way that you do it.’ And so it is our own
unique assets that make us valuable and this is what we bring to every situation.
When we recognise our qualities, connect with them and use them more and more we will develop a very real self esteem. This is because it is based on the truth of what we really are and so are our truest colours.
In this talk we’ll not only uncover them, we’ll also find out how to play with them even trade with them! With this comes a handful of Quality Currency bank notes from the Universal Bank of Abundance and it says on the back of them how to use them, play with them and trade with them as well as making up your own uses.
And so now we begin the adventure. Each part looks at a different part of your life and seeks to identify the quality that was underpinning it.
We play the game in pairs and then write out some Quality Currency Bank Notes and then trade in them with our colleagues during the event and also in the evening and afterwards.
This will create a great opportunity for us to continue to talk about what is good about us and others and uplift the environment with Quality Currency.
This talk can be designed to last for an hour as I believe that any longer than that and concentration diminishes. Short, sweet, punchy and effective is the way to go.
